Can anyone recommend one, or more, that are relatively sound in their analysis? I've been rooting around a little bit and haven't found anything that stands out as worth the cover price.

Regrettably, the books I present are in Spanish, so unless you already know so, you can either learn the language or fetch a charitable Spanish speaker to narrate and translate the books for you. ;)
And admittedly, it is mostly focused on the late 20th Century, the big one that doomed Argentina's fate outright.
