Is there going to be an iPod tax stamp now?

It's very hard to tax digital delivery.  And digital entertainment is one sector that continues to be strong.

This is incredibly stupid.

But on the other hand, I fully expect cities and states to punish their constituents with new taxes and further reductions in prosperity, rather than meaningfully cut the size of government.  People have to relearn that the state is a parasite.

And so the pirating of intellectual non-property will continue to increase.

Taxes are voluntary after all. David Hume discovered that...or something.

This is great.  New York cannot even collect taxes from online merchants unless they are based in New Jersey.  Keep the iPods dry and get the politicians wet.

What is shocking is that politicians are even aware that these things exist at all.  Politicians are a group that typically cannot figure out e-mail.
