Hey guys,

A quick question about Grove City College- just how culturally conservative is it administratively? Are there bed checks? Booze checks? Expulsions of kids who have parties? I didn't think any college was still that strict. Any stories you could bring forth to elaborate on this would be helpful.

 Thanks

What exactly does this have to do with Ludwig von Mises, economics or libertarianism?

It's renowned for having good Austrian programmes.

And yet he chooses to ask whether or not they're strict in regards to the consumption of alcohol... The whole "university experience" thing is such nonsense anyway.

First of all, I did not say what my view was on the subject. For example, perhaps I would like a school with little consumption of alcohol. Perhaps I'd like one with more. The question itself says nothing about my views on the whole "university experience" thing. I was only asking because I've heard that they disliked such things from JH Huebert's endorsement of the school on MisesBlog. However, he was vague.

Second, I did post it in miscellaneous. If it was related to economics or political theory I would have posted it there. But it's not. As I mentioned, the thought only came because of a posting on Mises Blog about a school I've only heard of in connection to libertarianism and Austrianism. I figured there would be at least one GCC Alum on here to answer my query. If the policies of one of the three schools I know of with Austrian programs and a libertarian leaning faculty/student body are so disjointed from a forum on Austrian economics and libertarianism then I apologize. If someone wants to delete this thread because of that they are free to. It seemed connected in my head, but if it's not, it's not.
