I am writing a newspaper article interviewing Mises about the Great Depression for English. The "interview" takes place in 1929 shortly after the crash. Are there any direct quotes from him about the Great Depression around? If not, what do you think he would say?
Well, there is a quote I've seen of his from 1928 saying there was a great collapse coming and he didn't want his name associated with it. (Does anyone know where that is from so I can use it in a paper?) Anyway, I think I've read some stuff he's written (or spoken) during the GD, but he is soooooo modest when he talks about it. I think what he would say stuff pretty similar to Rothbard, Hazlitt, and all other Austrian economists.
