The free game to be had here is Half Life 2: Deathmatch... The multiplayer component of the highly acclaimed singleplayer shooter of the same brand. Sold for 5 dollars normally, ATI and Nvidia video card users can get it for free. Send me a PM if you'd like to play on my server with a great group of individuals. We use a program called Log Me In Hamachi which simulates a LAN network over IP. I hope the moderators do not consider this some sort of referral scam either, it is an actual offer with no conditions other than downloading the Steam client which launches the game and manages the servers. If you have some money to spend I highly recommend the singleplayer Half Life 2 which centerpieces on humanity's battle against central planning at its worst. Left 4 Dead, or the Orange Box are also very good choices.

I have all of HL/H2 except the deathmatch...as I have no desire to do deathmatch.
Sounds like a good deal. I used to play Counter-Strike all the time. I might do this when I have more time.
