Just came across this today, about a picture of Churchill at a museum in London has had his Cigar airbrushed from the picture. From what I gather, no one has verified who did it, but still it is pretty sad to see this go on in our supposedly 'free society' http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/7828755/Winston-Churchills-cigar-airbrushed-from-picture.html

Thank You for Smoking was a great movie.
Indeed, one of my favorites. Especially the speech where he talks about defending those really victimized by society, it kind of reminded me of Walter Block's Defending the Undefendable.
It's a conspiracy. Government is behind it.

Few things in life have pissed me off or affected me as much as the anti-smoking lobby
Indeed, I know what you mean. As a pipe/cigar smoker, it is interesting to see the laws on this through out the country. Where I go to college at, the city has a general ban so I usually confine myself to my home, other then that the local cigar shoppe had to threaten litigation to be allowed to have its patrons smoke inside (die to the law not pertaining to clubs). One state over, there is a state wide ban which for the most part means one has to go out in the middle of nowhere to smoke.

I'm an ex bar owner. I can not even begin to tell you how much grief/ money it cost not only me but other bar owners. Just thinking about it sends me into a rage.

Affected. I presume that the anti-smoking lobby is not a primary cause of your being.
That being said, yes, it's retarded. But I would say the enviro-kooks have as much or more influence on your life, just on a much broader scale.

The magic "edit post" button just made you look like the oddball instead of me. But no, the smoking ban cost me a lot of money as I was sort of in the front line trenches of that one. On the bright side, a mix of Taco Bell food poisioning and the smoking ban both got me to quit smoking after 8 years and eating Taco Bell all on the same day
