Here in the West, we tend to have a disdainful attitude towards the concept of a blood debt and other forms of compensatory punishment. Do you feel that this recent phenomenon is wholly attributable to the creeping monopoly of the state on the concept of justice? Or do you believe that some portion of this disdain is attributable to the monopoly of fiat currency and relative lack of understanding the relationship between money, value, and time?
