"The States Parties to the present Covenant recognize that, in the enjoyment of those rights provided by the State … the State may subject such rights only to such limitations as are determined by law."

The UN has never been able to get its member states to do anything they didn't want to do already, so why would the UN be able to persuade member states to invoke a draft? Those that would invoke a draft were governments already looking to do so. They just went through the UN to justify their decision.

Well, I think the U.N. could ask it's member states to invoke the draft, in which Obama would probably comply.

I wouldn't put it past them. What they really want is one global army to "keep the peace." "Nuclear disarmament" means "give the UN all the nukes so they can rule the world."

In their coercive Declaration of Human Rights, they leave out the right to refuse to kill. Anyway, I know that that's a natural right, but it's also a "humanitarian" right.

Is the fact that they leave that out a good indicator that they could be pro-draft? I know that they're not pro-peace, but does anyone think they may go as far as to have their member states invoke the draft?
