Well I was thinking more of a billboard kind of thing...like a blimp. Making it rain flyers over a random geographical area is not exactly the best plan. For one thing, pretend there wasn't a State. You're still littering on people's property. There's nothing statist about me saying I don't want your trash being dropped on my land or my house, and you have no right to do it.

The problem is not funding.

If i was handed 1 million today, the problem would ultimately be the state.

I would go to jail for dropping leaflets on cities.

The FAA would go crazy

Ah yes, I just saw something in one of those links that relates to what I was talking about with that "leftist style." It seems that young people who are interested in rebelling against the system seem to, before they educate themselves properly, align themselves with leftist causes (or they know all about it but just have this delusion that it works). The thing is though, with the leftist art style (for example, the red Che t-shirt), it stands out as an anti-government message, regardless of the fact that it's general message in the end is to create yet another big government. But because of it's identification as a intellectually revolutionary statement, I think that bright style is the kind we should look for when trying to persuade people.

Yes. In fact I was just thinking about asking what would be good content for flyers to put up. Where would you say that the best place to post flyers are? I'm not sure that where I live, a local business would be eager to put up anti-state flyers or something like that, but obviously there are more options.

As for where to put them up, that's a tough call. It really does depend on where you live. This isn't like a presidential campaign where you can break ordinances and not really pay a price in the way of negative opinion for being a "vandal". In the old days of the Ron Paul movement guys would sniper-hit areas all over the place. The campaign of course had nothing to do with it, so they weren't held responsible, but the publicity occurred, and people don't tend to think of political advertising during election season as actual vandalism. A lot of people may not like it, and consider it littering the landscape, but for the most part they recognize it as inevitable, and since it's only for a certain period of time they put up with it...and in a lot of cases allow exceptions to the normal rules (even if just in their minds).

Like people might see a "vote for ____" sign somewhere and assume permission was granted or some permit was issued. But you don't get that kind of leeway with anything else.

So you do need to be more careful. Being more clever and creative is useful too.

I can appreciate the idea of putting up fliers, although I think something like a common style for a colorful poster would be much better, get people interested through stylization and not through a boring sheet of paper with text.

My initial reaction was negative, but if the flyers are made properly, this could be all good. Anti-war message, pro-freedom, etc.
