In "Atlas Shrugged" all of the "Men of the Mind" (the innovators, and people who make thing happen in the world) quit producing and disappear to "Galt's Gulch", a hidden city in the mountains of Colorado to create their own society that is true capitalism. When all of these men leave society, America, and they world economic and political systems colapse because nobody competent is around to run things.
