On a side note, one of the perks of attending Mises University is that you get to buy slightly damaged hardback books for $4 and soft back books for $1. I purchased the Bastiat collection for $4---special, special, me:)

Re: Bastiat: LvMI vs Liberty Fund

The first volume isn't available yet, but their digital catalogue links to this page.

Re: Bastiat: LvMI vs Liberty Fund

Could you guys post a link to the volume? I can't seem to find it in the Liberty Fund website.

Re: Bastiat: LvMI vs Liberty Fund

Liberty Fund is publishing a much more exhaustive collection. The LvMI volumes are Bastiat's major economic works (as they describe it, "the main corpus of his writings"), whereas Liberty Fund is publishing many additional writings, including work and correspondence prior to the last few years of Bastiat's life. It's very exciting, especially since the soon-to-be-released first volume may be the most valuable of the collection.

Bastiat: LvMI vs Liberty Fund

	Ok, different kind of discussion/question.

A couple of years ago, the Institute put out a great 2 volume collection of Bastiat's works. I figured it was the end all be all, and got it.

Now I see that Liberty Fund is coming out with a planned 6 volume collection of Bastiat that is billed as being the 'be all end all' of Bastiat collections.

Is theirs just a better translation, or does it contain lots of new stuff not in the 2 volume set from LvMI?
