What a feast this would have been for his ironic wit! One group of idiots (brick-and-mortar retailers) is ganging up with another group of idiots (the government) to try to figure out ways to get Internet retailers to pay &amp;quot;unpaid sales taxes.&amp;quot; You can see in this article how big business is good for government... it&amp;#39;s much easier to threaten a handful of big retailers to &amp;#39;collect the sales tax at the POS or else&amp;#39; than it is to threaten each and every citizen &amp;quot;levy the sales tax on yourself for every item you purchase and mail us a check at the end of the year.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;
	Fortunately, the Internet is forcing the issue. Hopefully State tax revenues will simply permanently decline, hastening the impending debt&amp;amp;deficit doom.&lt;/p&gt;
