I think he and his followrs jumped on the "we predicted the recession" bandwagon a little late. It hasn't been until very recently I started hearing these claims come out of the left. I think it is just a desperate attempt for validation, which in the end because it's the left, will probably work to their advantage. It seems like typical political tactics, that while they may seem apparent, the left has had wild success with.

Krugman didn't actually predict the recession; he merely spouted Keynesian nonsense about not enough demand and consumption. He may have talked about "depression economics", but only in his Keynesian-worship tones. His idea is that governments never do enough to spur growth. It's just nonsense.

This is a long article. I don't agree with Krugman, but I will have to deal with krugmanians, so I would like some comments.
