Corruption wouldn't be too bad if the polytrixters would take a long term approach to it, but those darn elections come up every few years and the money is free to them so they gotta spend it somehow.

Re: Florida's Stimulus Spending

Connie:

Why

Because that is what they do. Governments are not benevolent. They are cabals of crooks.

You have a lot of code mixed up in your post. If you write your post in another program, try notepad, not wordpad or microsoft word.

Florida's Stimulus Spending

Thirteen point three Billion
($13.3B) have been set aside for spending over the next three years
as Florida's stimulus funbding. I have examined
http://www.FLARECOVERTY.com and have found not a penny being applied to capital
formation projects. Jobs, jobs and more jobs seem to be the focus of the
Governor's mandate to his staff.. Also spend the money as quickly as
possible! Infrastructure, education energy research,
transportation. Make work projects such as these do not create a
sustainable economy do they?

I learned from reading Lew
Rockwell's article and have embraced the simple truth in the following quote:

“Now
think about this. If there is a way out of the recession,it will have to be
provided by private enterprise.. It will comeby new businesses, business
expansions, entrepreneurship, new technology, and this will be the source of
lasting jobs and prosperity. You cannot make a country rich by looting
taxpayers and paying people to pound nails into siding at public schools!

These
activities amount to capital consumption. They are notsources of investment.
You can say that they are stupid tasksor wonderful tasks, but it is not a
matter of ideology asto whether such public projects will make us all
wealthier. They will not. They drain the sources of wealth from society. They
represent a cost, not a blessing”.

Why

I
am not schooled in economics. Maybe the issue is a lot more complex that
I realize. Please help me understand! My questions to you ... How can we
help make the public understand the damage that is being wrought upon our
economy and haw can we get our leaders to change direction?
