This is sad and I show my kids (10th grade US History Public School students) the short clip from "A few good men" when Cruise is yelling at Nicholson saying " I want the truth" and I say your national standards are saying "You can't handle the truth" But as a student you have to demand the truth and here it is....

The Fed says their main job is "to keep the economy humming" (from free video also offered from the Fed) then we must wonder how have we had 18 recessions since its inception, if they are any good at all at their admitted main job. This opens the door to the lesson on intervention.

Well I appreciate all your discussions, Thank you. I have much to learn, just took the Biz cycle course online and have Man, Economy and State lined up for my summertime reading.

They'll probably start forcing kids in school to read this after making them watch The Story of Stuff in class. Our education system is going into the dumps.

Couldn't say it better myself! I can't read these comics. From the reviews above, I can tell it will put me over the edge.

The thing is, if they were merely incompetent, I could deal with it. But rather, they know exactly what they are doing. They are designing the world we are to live in, because they say so. And they have the power to implement it. Right is wrong, up is down, good is evil, freedom is bondage.

I'm telling you, the day is coming when legislation will be passed that will shut down websites like Mises.org because it is in conflict with the official story.

I ordered and read all those comics a while ago (they're free of course--it's not their money). They're great fun--I learned that money emerged when a central authority realized that a money system works better then a barter system. My favorite comic was the one centered around hip young teenagers Just Like You who love to play basketball, hang out with girls, and talk about the history of banking reform in the United States.

One of those pictures says..."Too slow money and credit growth can cause recession because people and business won't be able to get the loans they need for major purposes at affordable interest rates."

"I know you would like to expand your factory, but because we don't have much money to lend, we have to charge a higher interest rate that you can't afford."

No what the heck do these people honestly believe that expansions to factories are build with little green pieces of paper?!?!?!?

The reason this person can get the loan is because there isn't enough concrete and steel...not paper. PRINTING MORE PAPER DOES NOT CREATE MORE CONCRETE OR STEEL!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

sorry, I get really pissed off at the incompetence of these people.
