Well, that number certainly reassures me that I'm not the only person who relentlessly lurks on these forums, never really adding much of use to the conversations at hand.

Given the fact that I am potentially speaking to the equivalent of a huge auditorium full of people, I am interested in knowing which posts attract readership.

Not right, number of thread visitors or reader is useful for threadstarters, so they are able to track what threads are oft-times read but seldom responded to. It gives an estimate how many guests from e.g. Google are visiting that particular thread.

Probably. but i don't really see the point, from a user's point of view. reads/site statistics is for the admin's to keep track of, but it serves no purpose for regular users of the site.

17 members online now, and 753 guests! It makes me wonder how many times each post is read. Is it possible to add such a feature?
