&lt;p&gt;I haven&amp;#39;t read the article yet, but I was wondering what system of ethics is &lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;not&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt; based on utilitarianism, even religious ethics. What is a good article on utilitarianism and property rights?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Well since utilitarianism just came around ca. late 1700&amp;#39;s and early 1800&amp;#39;s I&amp;#39;d say a lot of systems other than it, but a&amp;nbsp;utilitarianist&amp;nbsp;would know more than I. &amp;nbsp;Just commented since you seemed to think it was the only one around. &amp;nbsp;I&amp;#39;ve seen some amoralist around too. &amp;nbsp;So there you go...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;especially the property rights issue(high energy laser beam buzzing through neighbour terrritory etc) in paragraphs 41-43&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;since the libertarian argumentation seems to be the overwhelming way to approach the issue on these boards, would be interesting to seee critique on him&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
