Don't like the word masculist, nor do I find it necessary, sounds like Warren Farrell. I've read his book "Myth of Male Power" and Christina Hoff Sommers' "Who stole feminism?", they run parallel to these ideas (specifically Sommers). If your interested in all that, check out those two books.

What I mean when I say I am a Libertarian Masculist- a manifesto.

A Libertarian Masculist Manifesto.

All Libertarians are required to believe in Masculism in the minimal political sense I.e. that men as human beings have rights and that government is the prime violator of them and their enemy and that it should neither trample on men nor privilege them with claims to imaginary 'positive rights ' such as the supposed 'the right not to be discriminated against' which violate others rights. This is my definition of what Masculism is and specifically the Libertarian kind.Political Masculism in no way requires or implies a cultural support for Masculism.I admit others may differ with me on cultural issues because Masculism is in no way a monolithic philosophy.

Progressive Masculism
I support Progressive masculism which is the belief that Masculism is and should be complementary with the goals and beliefs of Feminism. They are both two sides of the same coin.
Basically I oppose both Misandrist Feminism(especially Radical Feminism) and Misogynist Masculism( I believe what is known as Patriarchial Masculism)

Masculist political issues:

Issues of interest to libertarianism and required by it's principles

Belief that men own there bodies and as such have the right to engage in prostitution.

Belief in free speech and right for men to watch, buy, sell or engage in pornography.

Working to change instant dismissal of female on male rape cases as inherently impossible based on the idea women cannot rape men. This is a grave injustice effectively accepting it's ok for women to use force against men.

Opposing conscription against men and women of course however it is more often targeted at men.

Working to abolish compulsory state enforced Alimony and Child support slavery, which is essentially a theft and welfarism. While it may be used against men or women ,typically men bear the brunt of it .It is wrong to use the force of law to compel a man to support his partner who he has left especially if he left for reasons such as abuse. This system is so rabid that in some cases fathers or partners may have their passports and driving license confiscated and their bank account freezed. They can be effectively hunted like a dog.The child support/Alimony system can create incentives for women to marry then quickly divorce to receive it, maliciously divorce to receive it or use it as a battering ram against old partners. It is entirely just only when child support and or Alimony has been agreed on a voluntary mutually beneficial basis such as by making a contract.Whether or not there is a moral obligation to provide for a child you helped create or a child you raised,it does not translate into a legally compulsory obligation.

I support the right of 'male abortion'(coined by Melanie McCulley ) which means that if a male partner does not want to be a father to a child of his partner he has the right not to be forced to by law and can walk away without legal comeback. This does not imply this is moral or immoral though it may be so.As McCulley states:
"When a female determines she is pregnant, she has the freedom to decide if she has the maturity level to undertake the responsibilities of motherhood, if she is financially able to support a child, if she is at a place in her career to take the time to have a child, or if she has other concerns precluding her from carrying the child to term. After weighing her options, the female may choose abortion. Once she aborts the fetus, the female's interests in and obligations to the child are terminated. In stark contrast, the unwed father has no options. His responsibilities to the child begin at conception and can only be terminated with the female's decision to abort the fetus or with the mother's decision to give the child up for adoption. Thus, he must rely on the decisions of the female to determine his future. The putative father does not have the luxury, after the fact of conception, to decide that he is not ready for fatherhood. Unlike the female, he has no escape route".This concept was tried in Dubay v Wells and dismissed.Apparently according to law, men do not have the same rights as women.

Rape shield laws, which may prevent some men from adequately challenging their accuser. In rape cases, "the dogma that "women never lie" means that there is, for all intents and purposes, no presumption of innocence for the defendant. This means men can be kidnapped(arrested) and taken to court on the assumption of guilt without proof, possibly even jailed which is Kidnap also.

Political issues not directly required by adherence to libertarian principles.

Trying to reduce the amount of men(and women) joining the military and participating in needless unjust wars either killing innocents or being killed.

Masculist cultural issues(which differ widely among Masculists):

Challenging the perception begun by Radical Feminists that men and women are inherently by nature of their biology ,conflicting groups. This is not only false ,it is socially destructive harming relations among men and among women as well as between the two.

Challenging the idea of a Zero-sum society which claims in any relation between men and women when one gains the other loses.

Challenging the idea of Radical Feminist that Hetrosexual relationships are inherently 'exploitive' or sexist.

Challenging the idea sometimes held that initiating force is 'macho'.

Masculism should not be anti-family.This requires challenging the Radical Feminist idea that the family is inherently sexist or 'exploitive'.

End the insult of 'Deadbeat Dad' as well as 'Deadbeat Parent' .This term maybe applicable but it is often hyped up by the state and it's supporters.

Challenging the belief among society that sexism is something directed always at women by men and the rarely mentioned possible reversal

Little domestic abuse support for men.Little sympathy for men in domestic abuse cases.Men seen as the causer of abuse and women are always being the victim.

downplaying of domestic abuse against men.

Violence against men minimalized or taken less seriously than violence against women.

Challenging the idea of men as always being oppressors or sexist or the aggressors while women are seen as always victims. This is really just disguised sexism.

Belief that men cannot be raped by women and if they are they are lucky or enjoyed it.

downplaying of rape of men especially homosexual men

support for transsexuals(whether male to female or female to male) and transvestites in contrast to Radical Feminism's hatred of them.

Bias in divorce cases and child custody against men and for women.

Challenging the idea that men are all inherently sexist or sex driven.Of course this may be true in some cases but not all.

Bias in health concerns. for example, more advertisements and awareness for breast cancer than prostate cancer, though both cancers kill approximately the same number of people each year.

I support a pro sex Masculism just as I support a pro-sex Feminism.

Challenging the idea that there exists a comprehensive patriarchy(in essence a conspiratorial institutional sexism) against women. It could be argued that infact due to Radical Feminist the pendulum has swung the other way(though admitedly no where near as bad as the sexism historically faced by women) and now women are largely (though by no means all) privileged while men are often legally disadvantaged.

Challenging the double standard of political correctness which says that it's wrong to 'denigrate' women by saying " cunt" etc but it's ok to say " dick".As far as I've concerned let's toss this political correctness out for good.No one needs it.

On the issue of gender roles I am unsure.I do not accept that all traits traditionally though of as masculine are purely culturally influenced or socialized. However I do not believe that all these traits are purely genetic or biological either.I think Biology inclines men towards being a certain way and then culture either enforces this or subverts it.It is up to the individual whether they wish to conform to gender roles or not.It should merely be known that there is no duty or obligation to.

Child support penalities: "Consequences of non-payment vary by jurisdiction, the length of time the parent has been noncompliant, and the amount owed. Typical penalties include wage garnishment and denial or suspension of drivers, hunting and professional licenses.

In the United States, noncompliant parents who are more than $2500 in arrears may be denied passports under the Passport Denial Program. Noncompliance may also be treated as a criminal offense, and may result in prison sentences, fines and property seizure".

Page 8 ,Yukon Maintenance Enforcement Program states :

"To enforce court ordered support payments, the MEP can:

garnish wages, workers’ compensation benefits, bank
accounts (including joint accounts with new partners
or spouses), pensions, rental income, and other
financial assets which could include those held by
corporations or business partnerships if the MEP’s
court application is successful.

use liens and seizures to collect money owed by
registering a support order against a respondent’s
property so that the property cannot be sold or
mortgaged until something is done about unpaid
support (Vehicles and other property can be seized and
sold to pay a support debt.)

withhold, suspend or cancel drivers’ licences and motor
vehicle registrations (including recreational vehicles) as
an enforcement mechanism against those who do not
make support payments

The MEP will schedule a default hearing so
that a judge can review the respondent’s financial
position. One of the judge’s options is to send the
respondent to jail. Time served is a penalty; it does not
reduce the amount of support owed".

Under the section what if I start another family? it states :

"No matter what your family status, the terms of a support
order stay the same until they are legally changed.

If you are a respondent and you have other children, you
are still responsible for your children named in the court
order.

If you are a claimant, the terms of the support order are not
affected by your new relationship. The respondent must
still make the support payments according to the court
order".

page 11 ,what should I do if I move?

"

If you are the respondent, you are still responsible for
making your payments no matter where you live. If you
leave the Yukon, the MEP will transfer your file to the
territory, province, or other country of your new home.
You must continue to send your payments to the MEP in
the Yukon until the people responsible for the
maintenance program in your new area contact you".

There really is no escape. Is it any wonder men commit suicide other this?

UK Child Support Agency (CSA) in the glossy "we're your friend" ,'feel good fascist' style of statist pamphlets everywhere states on p27:

"If you fail to give us the information we need, or you give us
information that you know is false, we can take you to court and
you could be fined up to £1,000. This applies to any person or
organisation who, by law, must give us information – such as
employers and accountants as well as parents".

Under a section entitled "What happens if the CSA cannot find
or contact the non-resident parent?"(p28) it states :

"If the parent with care does not know where the non-resident
parent lives, we can try to find information from other
organisations. These include:
• the non-resident parent’s employer(s), their accountant or
companies or partnerships that they have been contracted
to provide services to
• government organisations, such as Jobcentre Plus,
The Pension Service, HMRC and the Driver and Vehicle
Licensing Agency (DVLA)
• prison services and local authorities, and
• organisations that have information about the financial history
of the non-resident parent, such as banks and building
societies, credit reference agencies, and gas and electricity
suppliers.
We don’t have to get permission from either parent to contact
these people or organisations".

"What happens if child maintenance isn’t paid on time?"(p33) :

"Non-resident parents are responsible for paying child
maintenance in full and on time. If you have arranged child
maintenance through us, and the non-resident parent does not
pay in full and on time, we will take action to make sure that
payments are made as soon as possible. This includes if you
have arranged child maintenance through us and the
non-resident parent must pay the parent with care direct.
The action we take depends on the situation, but we may:
• take money directly from a non-resident parent’s earnings as
an employee if they are employed and do not currently pay
that way
• take money directly from a non-resident parent’s bank or
building society account, or
• take action through the courts.
We can use more than one action at a time.
Taking action through the courts can be expensive and can
result in the non-resident parent:
• paying their own legal costs and our legal costs, as well as
the child maintenance they owe
• being forced to sell their home or other assets
• losing their driving licence for up to 2 years, or
• even going to prison."

"What happens if the non-resident parent denies they are the child’s
parent?"(P36):

Sometimes, when a parent with care applies for child
maintenance, the person they name as the non-resident parent
denies they are the parent.
The law says we can presume they are the child’s parent in
certain circumstances, for example if they:
• are named on the child’s birth certificate, or
• were married to the child’s mother at any time between the
date the child was conceived and the date the child was born.
In these situations, the person named as the non-resident parent
can go to court to try to prove that they are not the parent.(essentially there is a presumption of guilt!) But
they have to pay child maintenance until the court rules that they
are not the parent."

"If the person named as the non-resident parent refuses to take a DNA
test, we can presume that they are the child’s parent."

US criminal statutes for non payment of child support.

On Alimony : "Permanent Alimony: Support paid to the lesser earning spouse until the death of the payor, the death of the recipient, or the remarriage of the recipient".

Not sure everyone will agree with me but what do you think? any thoughts? interesting?
