I've read the Voluntary City. It's dull to be honest, and has no new ideas that you don't find anywhere else. It's worth a read if its in front of you and you have nothing else to do, otherwise move on to something else.

Assuming you were asking for a book recommendation or something like that, my vote would also go to For a New Liberty by Murray N. Rothbard.

Does anyone know if Volutary City (edited by David T. Beito) is worth of reading?

For an argument about capitalism, perhaps a mix of the Mises's calculation problem and Hayek's thoughts on the role of information in society.

In general I'd say the best defense is that it is basically anarcho-capitalism that enabled humans to develop wealth and prosperity before mafias and states arose to start siphoning off the largess.

If society actually needed a state to exist we'd have never made it down from the trees.

Just a question for all of you: in your opinion, what is the most comprehensive, ironclad defense of Anarcho-Capitalism that you know of?
