Robert Koller is a lawyer with Clifford Chance based in Frankfurt am Main / Germany. Before he worked in the financial services department of a top Spanish law firm and in the funds department of the biggest Gibraltar law firm. Previously, he gained also experience in the diplomatic field, having worked at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Robert has expertise in funds (retail, private and particularly hedge funds) as well as capital markets (including bonds, derivatives and ISDA documentation), financial regulatory law and project and asset finance. He is espcially interested in alternative investments, such as cat-bonds and other insurance linked securities. Robert also has experience in corporate and corporate finance work, including take-overs, private placements, Public Private Partnerships, compliance and M&A. He was involved in establishing electronic trading platforms for clients and has worked also in Mexico, France, Austria and the UK.
