&lt;p&gt;I&amp;acute;ve spent quite a lot of time in Your Country between the coup&amp;acute;d &amp;eacute;tat from 1989/90 until mid of the 90ies. Romania was actually the place where I became totally cured from those somehow socialist ideas I still had in those days of my late youth. [A]&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I havent been in Romaia since 1996 - for all the students that were my friends had left for western countries within a couple of years - and I actually had more romaninan-romaninan friends than of magyar or german background... I was mostly in Cluj - but I had even contacts to Sibiu, Brasov and even one to Bucuresti.&lt;/p&gt;
