Democratic voters misinformed on candidates Iraq Positions

Chris Bowers at OpenLeft.com demonstrates in his article "Democrats Grossly Misinformed On Candidate Plans For Iraq" that most Democratic voters misunderstand the top tier candidates positions on the Iraq war. 48% think Hillary will have all troops out of Iraq within nine months after becoming president. Barack Obama had similar numbers of 44%.

This is in stark contrast to their actual positions, which are closer to "Leave a substantial number of troops in Iraq, but have them concentrate on training Iraqis and targeting Al Qaeda leaders in Iraq." Barack Obama's website says "The plan allows for a limited number of U.S. troops to remain in Iraq as basic force protection, to engage in counter-terrorism and to continue the training of Iraqi security forces."

This is much different than ending the war, and the anti-war supporters of these candidates should soon realize that they are voting for an occupation lasting about as long as Bush himself would have it run.
