Any more you think I should add?

Yours, Alex Peak “I’m very optimistic about the future of free-market capitalism. I’m not optimistic about the future of stat[ist] capitalism—or rather, I am optimistic, because I think it will eventually come to an end.” – Murray N. Rothbard, “A Future of Peace and Capitalism,” 1973

I'd link to Wikipedia: Shay's Rebellion.

So the Massachusetts tax was projected to raise 72,000 pounds? That's interesting. If my memory is correct, I think Rothbard says in C.O.L. that the British stamp tax was only projected to raise 60,000, and that was from all thirteen colonies.
