I just stumbled across this:

http://www.southampton.k12.ny.us/grade3gov/why_do_we_need_government.htm

Gotta get 'em started young. Precious gems like, "To make sure that your city, town or county grows in the best way possible, people called city planners draw up a master plan." Thank God for master planners or we would all still be living in adobe huts. Or something. Then there's this, "Using money from the federal government, the National Park Service preserves historic places, monuments, and special natural resources like forests and mountains." Could you imagine all the special natural resources like forests and mountains gone? Without Wonder Government to preserve our forests and mountains, surely they would all soon perish!

Gotta love this one especially, "DID YOU KNOW? The first city police department was founded in 1844 in New York City." hmmm... I wonder what New York City and all the other cities did from 1776 to 1844. Did they... no way, they couldn't have... find a free market solution?

But then who will kill the Sean Bells and Amadou Dialos?

Banish that thought from your mind, children, and repeat after me: "We need government because..."

That's the best site ever;

All community members need government to provide functions people cannot provide for themselves as individuals. The government will plan organize and make decisions for it's citizens, as well as protect people's properties and rights.

Too funny...

In the "What a difference one vote makes" there is not one example of 1 vote making a difference. Brilliant!

Wow, what a horrible piece of propaganda. Truly scary.
