Do we have many Europeans on this forum? How international is this forum?
I'm sure there are some. But I know that there is a Mises Institute for Brazil, and maybe a few others, I'm not sure.
I'm from Lithuania (Northen Europe).
I thyink theres a swedish mises institute.

I think a great thing would be for everyone outside the US (including myself) to give a run-down of their country in terms of freedom, level of economic development, and what seems to be the average person's position on liberty. Perhaps this could be something for the Mises Community blog project that Marko's trying to set up: http://mises.org/community/forums/p/31803/494378.aspx#494378
I think that there used to be a lot more Europeans here than there currently are. Just a guess though.
Kelvin Silva: I thyink theres a swedish mises institute.
There are many Mises Institutes:

I'm all the way from the 51st state- the UK.
The atoms tell the atoms so, for I never was or will but atoms forevermore be.
Yours sincerely,

Albania, though I do not post as often as I used to.

Interesting idea.
I've pledged to participate in that project, and I am from Europe, too. From Latvia, though I've spent the better part of the last half a year abroad.
Great, I'd love to read about Latvia. You should make a note of it for when the blog starts :P
Great, I'd love to read about Latvia.
Probably means I should do some reading on it, too ;)
I avoid exposure to mass media, including TV, and my social circle is rather biased.
I will try to do what I can, though.
I'm Finnish, and I have to say I don't enjoy it when someone lumps all Europeans together as a group called "Europeans". But I guess that was the most effective way to pose your question. It could've been quite hard to list all European countries and ask whether there were any people from those countries. But now I'm just babbling, better stop it right here.
I'll just edit one more thing: we have a Mises Insitute in Finland, but I don't think it's an actual physical place. It's just a website if I've understood correctly.
I'm from Finland too.
Physiocrat, I sent you a friend request...
Oh, and by the way, a rough estimate of international reach: http://www.quantcast.com/mises.org#!countries
Anyone from Serbia except me?
I'm Eastern European but I live in the US.
I'm an American of Sicilian descent, does that count?
Wait, by this logic, the majority of Americans would count as Europeans.
The difference is that Wheylous is not an American.
I am from Poland.
@ gotlucky
How do you define American? Who is American? There is what's called "American ethnicity," which is used to refer to the descendants of the colonists of the original Thirteen British Colonies, but then the only "ethnic Americans" comprise a very small amount of the population. Then there are the Natives of course, but some wouldn't call them American (even they themselves normally wouldn't.)
So is an American a person who is born in the country?
I don't think it really matters. Wheylous is not an American citizen, unless he has become naturalized.
I have not.
I'm from Spain (Barcelona).
I'm form Maryland, but I was born on a U.S base in Germany.
Does that count?
Which country are you a citizen of, Wheylous? Do you go back to visit often?
Bulgaria. I go back from time to time.

As soon as I first saw one of your posts I knew that you had to be a dirty foreigner... Probably stole a job right out of the hands of a hardworking middle class American supporting a wife and four kids... Because that's what you people do!
Back in the 1400s, immigrants sure stole a lot of Indian jobs...land...lives...
No one was stealing anything in the 1400's, and the proper term is Native American you.
BOOM!
Just got pwnd by a jingoist!
Now is a good time to remember the atrocities Homo sapiens did to the Neanderthals. Hey, we are all Africans!
Merlin, what's your view of Enver Hoxha's Albania? Were you alive during his time?
@ Wheylous
Were you around during the Marxist-Leninist era?
Rugged Free-Marketeer: Merlin, what's your view of Enver Hoxha's Albania? Were you alive during his time? I was two when the wretched thing went down, soI don’t remember anything. The only personal note I can add is the realization that my brother’s generation (born immediately after the collapse of the regime) is a few centimeters higher in general than mine, all because milk was hard to find in the last years. All in all, a stupid, stupid waste of time that socialist regime. The Regression theorem is a memetic equivalent of the Theory of Evolution. To say that the former precludes the free emergence of fiat currencies makes no more sense that to hold that the latter precludes the natural emergence of multicellular organisms. | Post Points: 20

I would never have guessed that anybody here was from Albania. I think it would be an interesting place to visit. Heard good things about it from other backpackers I've met in Europe.
