I'm always amused by Joss Whedon. His TV shows were about as individualist and libertarian as anything could be, but he's a socialist through and through. You have to admit, his comic timing is great.
Congrats to him. He's the billionth person to mention the zombie apocalypse meme as if it still resembles an original joke.
The most tiresome meme in Hollywood, book publishing, and the internets simultaneously.
It's not original, but he presents it well. The 'Parkour' bit is funny.
Underneath it is just Hobbes war of all against all. It's surprising that he is so honest about his buying into this particular old mythology.
If you even allow any less government than what the Democratic party wants it will be chaos, because human beings are mindless and inherently bad. In fact, it is easier to imagine apocalypse than not having the omnipotent state. People are sinful, but for the grace of the state. Which came into being because you and I signed a real contract with them. Also, if people don't get their abortions on demand, then there will be Malthusian nightmare.
All of this just a reiteration, and exaggeration, of already corrupt thinking among your average liberal.
Dude, wtf are you going on about?
Joss Whedon thinks if you do not vote for Obama, there will be chaos. Because Romney is an dangerous, dangerous anarchist Without the state there is no reproductive rights, education, social life, order, or anything else. It is drastic! And so he sarcastically supports Romney because wouldn't it be funny if there was really that meme we mention so much.
It's so obvious that any opinion other than the liberal one is correct that we can just make lame jokes.
I realize that Joss sympathizes with the Democrats (he has explicitly said so), but that shouldn't take away from his entertaining comedic timing.
Had the video been exactly the same, but instead described statists as 'zombies', you know you'd love it.
Holy crap. It's only been up for 1 day and already has almost 2 million views and 11,000 comments!?
These are the moments when I miss Frank Zappa. At least he always had something witty or funny about politics which both sides of the spectre could understand. Sadly now we are left with that bunch of leeches and freeloader that is his family...
