The high school I went to will be closed tomorrow because there was a bomb threat. And my mom commented that more people could home school. That got me thinking, if the complaints that school is boring isn't enough to get kids out of school, maybe insecurity will get people's attention. I do not condone any of this, but its interesting that security can be valued highly, while actual learning is not?

"This time, it was a 16-year-old at Taft Union High School, which happens to be the same school Sen. Dianne Feinstein's father attended. And by the way, an unarmed teacher took down the teen shooter. The NRA would have all teachers armed and participating in shootouts as if they are Wild Bill Hickok."
That was one lucky teacher. I am impressed by someone who can do that.
Taft is an oil checkpointt, of an oil town, in an oil region. They are crusty as hell, I'm surprised the kid survived even without anyone having a gun.
