Many of the followers of mises.org have propably heard of this strange scholar called Antony C. Sutton. His fame is booming after the advent of the Internet and many of his books are available free on the Internet.

Dr. Sutton seems to be a conspiracy theoretician who documents most of his works pretty well and has done a lot of original archival research. His famous 'Wall Street Trilogy' makes the claim that some kind of secret elite from New York has financed such events of history as bolshevik revolution and the rise of both Hitler and FDR.

He has at least libertarian tendencies and he has written also books such as 'War on Gold' and 'Federal Reserve Conspiracy'.

Gary North uses his books a source material occasionally and there are a couple of mentions about him in the online journals at mises.org, and Dr. Sutton has obviously read at least some of the works of Murray N. Rothbard.

It is really difficult to decide what to think about this man… I am curious about what other people think about him.

I love his works and I believe him to be a sincere academic. Unlike many economist however, the points the finger against some specific organizations and individuals rather than argue theoricaly about the advantages of some economic systems. The fact of the matter is that the man was a member of the Hoover Institution; so he is no way a conspiracy theorist like many others out there popping out of the internet everyday.

Someone on Youtube posted a Yuri Bezmenov video and pointed out what appeared to be Sutton in the audience.
