The post as Governor and Executive Chairman of the Central Bank of Norway is vacant as of January 1, 2011.

Mr. Thomas Kenworthy and yours truly have separately applied for the post. We are both Austrian school candidates.

Farmann has more [bilingual report].

Also at my blog.

Are you going to go all "Greenspan" on us, once you're appointed?

Sell it fast! Screw legal tender!

The Regression theorem is a memetic equivalent of the Theory of Evolution. To say that the former precludes the free emergence of fiat currencies makes no more sense that to hold that the latter precludes the natural emergence of multicellular organisms.

Neither of us expect to be appointed.

Our applications are quite honest about what we think about the current system.

My application contains a part about appointing people like Jim Rogers, Marc Faber, and Peter Schiff as advisors. It also contains a part about a plan on changing the system.

I didn't think so.  I was hoping, though!

Nice.  That'd be awesome.  Also, good for you guys.

Cheers.
