A previous thread got me thinking about this, I've always thought that Austrians in the UK we're pretty scattered and rare, but given the Alexa stats on demographics for mises.org alone, I've begun to think we must be a an underestimated portion by now.
I'm currently in the final year of my degree in Birmingham, I was wondering if people would want to communicate, with where they are and whether they'd like to meet up, collaborate or whatever... So I thought i'd set this thread, and see what you guys think.
Who knows, maybe my pipe dream fantasy of turning the Cobden centre or something similiar into some sort of British Mises Institute could be made a reality...

I'm in Cardiff so not the closest. There are a few Austrians in the UK though they tend to be of teh Hayekian branch.

I'm in Oxford at the moment, I'm usually in Kingston/Esher in Surrey though.
I know that GilesStratton (I think he's called "hayekianxyz" now) and Jon Irenicus on these forums are both situated in the UK
The difference between libertarianism and socialism is that libertarians will tolerate the existence of a socialist community, but socialists can't tolerate a libertarian community.

My sister studies at Oxford, if I head down there would there be any chance we could meet up over coffee or something? This would be an open invite to anyone else interested.

I'm part of the leadership of the libertarian society. Why don't you come down next term when we have our next event. I'll PM you with next term's termcard and you can see what's up
