Well after America watched Glenn Beck's documentary on the history of Progressives which somehow included Marx and all the strains of Marxism, America has learned around 50 years of information in 50 minutes. Prepare yourselves concerning internet discussions with Glenn Beck enthusiasts who don't research history themselves. Apparently progressives are revisionist therefore revisionism is bad. Marx has links to Hitler and Che has links to Osama. I myself will be heavily drinking until the next documentary in order not to go insane from correcting people. I might also included a small bibliography concerning Progressivism so it will help members here from foaming from the mouth.

Do you have a link to it? I enjoy documentaries and need an excuse to binge drink.
To paraphrase Marc Faber: We're all doomed, but that doesn't mean that we can't make money in the process. Rabbi Lapin: "Let's make bricks!" Stephan Kinsella: "Say you and I both want to make a German chocolate cake."
Is Glenn Beck amping up to become the "right-wing" Michael Moore?
My personal Anarcho-Capitalist flag. The symbol in the center stands for "harmony" and "protection"-- I'm hoping to illustrate the bond between order/justice and anarchy.

I thought Ann Coulter had that position reserved?

You've been warned sir.

Bazing!

Beck is pudgy enough to qualify, Coulter doesn't have enough weight to fit the fat lying TV guy category.

This sounds like a great paper fo you to write for LCR, or at least for us peasants on this forum. Btw, am I suppose to take Glenn Beck seriously because he is wearing glasses?
I just discrovered something scandalous:
Glenn Beck == GBGeorge Bush == GBGB == GBTherefore,Glenn Beck == George Bush

Glasses are a MW2 Perk. You actually get +5 intel.
I should because that documentary made me vexed
Beefheart:Is Glenn Beck amping up to become the "right-wing" Michael Moore?
He may be competing with him for stupidity.
I watched the whole thing, it didn't seem that bad, not comparable to michael moore's astounding naievety and obfuscation anyway. As I understand you are fairly knowledgeable on socialism. Could you point out for me some glaring errors, aside of the dubious comparisons between the above mentioned figures?
"When the King is far the people are happy." Chinese proverb

"Where there are problems there is life."
I watched the documentary, it was pretty good actually. There's a lot of stuff in there the average person should know.
Well Marx isn't a progressive. Progressivism concerns the cartelization of labor and business with a planning unit at its head in order to bring about governmental efficiency in helping the average citizenry. And the relation between Marx and Hitler isn't really existent. Nazism is national socialism but that doesn't connect Marx to Hitler. It's disingenuous.
In fact, now that I am writing this out, none of the people in his documentary were actually Progressives. Well maybe George Bernard Shaw but I would give him the proper label of a Fabian socialist. Really this had nothing to do with progressives...wow. I can't believe I am now realizing this.

I watched it, and I was disappointed. Sure, marxists are not really progressives but he could have driven home the naive puppy love some progressives have for marxist regimes better than he did. The closest he got to that was the brief mention of Stalinist apologist Walter Duranty, but he wasnt really a progressive, either. If he had included segments on the left's continued love for 'Republican' Spain or Allende in Chile I might have had a more positive view.

Yea that is actually a true point. If you want to learn more about that I have a good book by Paul Hollander called "political pilgrims" It is very good and specifically concerns that topic of journalists going over to socialist nations.

That really depends where and who your correcting journey will take you. Just try not to get alochol poisoning before Mass Effect 2 is released
My gamestop is doing a midnight opening. I haven't been to one since Force Unleashed. Before that it was Halo 2. I love midnight openings. So cool.

That is the perfect opportunity to meet teenage Republican aspies. Be sure to bring plenty of liquor.
Well I live in California. So it is a great chance to talk about Bastiat & Mass Effect 2.

There is no escape from your fate. You deal with aggrandized powers that curse all those, without extensive preparation, to insanity. Now the forces of rubeness have been consolidated by a relic that will undo all good deeds. I'm afraid all hope is lost.
I'm willing to bet that you're within 100 yards of a Republican.

Yea, pampered San Ramon kids.
I had this beautiful bibliography concerning the history of Progressivism with lectures and articles that I put up on the Sean Hannity forums. I wake up to today to find that the post was deleted and I was banned for promoting the LvMI site because of the links to lectures.
[sigh], at least you can't say you didn't try,
On a side note, I just went to do my dry my clothes at the shop down the road and had a fascinating chat with a a middle aged woman who I am sure has never heard of any of the kind of stuff posted on this site or forum yet expressed sentiments so naturally libertarian I can scarcely think I have ever heard them so clearly before.
It really was nothing more than this:
"If people aint doing anything to bother or harm anyone else then they should be allowed to be left to themselves!"
Amybe I'm being over-optimistic, but maybe there's hope
