I do sometimes, but it is mostly dead, so I end up leaving shortly thereafter. Is there a special time and day when more people are on?
Anyway, I and a number of others are in the chat room right now, and I invite you to join us. It would be cool to have a busy chat room going for once.

I tried popping in a few times a while back, but there was never any discussion going on. Just a bunch of idle names.
I check-in every now and then.
That's the nature of IRC. It's one of those things you have to keep logged in, and then spontaneously, a discussion starts. It's actually not all that bad. Discussions happen more frequently in the evening or late at night. (relative to eastern time zone)
I didn't really notice there was one.
Caley McKibbin: I didn't really notice there was one.
I figure a lot of people also don't. I didn't notice the awesome "Groups" section of the site until a few weeks ago.
If it is able to include an active: Live Chat (20 people)
Showing how many people are in there... it would get a lot more action.

That's a great idea Conza.
Thanks.
I believe there is a massive demand out there (hey... 30k people on Mises facebook) for a real quick response to certain questions about Austrian Economics, epistemology, libertarianism etc etc.
I often want to check something, or get a snappy comeback oneliner - but it's generally not worth the effort making a thread about it, and it's more spamish than actual substance and by the time people respond anyway, it's generally too late.
If Mises.org has other things it is focusing on.. anyone want to set up an AustrianEconomics chat site?
No idea how it would be dedicated or set up.. but a real simple explanatory domain, maybe where you can create a profile, then a main chat room, and the ability to PM message folks or create other rooms (if there are so many people it becomes hard to read). Suggestions etc.. ideas.
