I thought this video was quite interesting and it does raise an interesting point. What's your opinion on it?

interesting. Where there are babes with men, then there potentially can be children - a society is flourishing and born! Also, where there are babes with men there usually isn't physical conflict. Not only by the one side as they are happy to stand next to a babe; but by the other side, because that would be too easy of a propaganda piece for the babe side to show to everybody. Instantly the babe side would receive sympathy as not only men but women were being killed by an attack from an opposition that would be easily looked upon by outsiders as cold, brutal, and monstrous.
I'd like to add to my views on this a bit more. Basically, my opinion is that when you get a large enough number of young people (men and women) you have the foundation for a lasting political movement (not necessarily successful) as these people will grow old, get married, and have children (to some percentage). It's these people that set the tone of political discourse and not the established older generation (at least in the long term). As such, it's interesting to note the stark differences between the Bush protesters and the Obama protesters; that is there's more younger people that seem to oppose Obama than did Bush, especially in the college age group. This may mark the watershed where real change does occur, but it could be a mere fluke of history. I still think there's a basis for my judgment, but I can't put a solid theory behind it.
This appears to be a causation-correlation fallacy. If something is popular then hot babes will be there too, not the other way around. So I don't think this means much of anything.

Did you even watch the entire video? Because he points that out, I suggest you *listen* before making a blanket judgment.

I got bored after 6 minutes or so. If he pointed that out then I don't really see what his remaining point would be.

It was more or less there's something else that could be used to illustrate the point that the babes are like everyone else that are discerning a change in the political landscape and thus they're more like canaries/indicators than causation of the movement.
Or it could be that attractive women make for more photogenic subjects at political events, and that they are easier to spot in a crowd by photographers looking for "the shot."
Regardless, I think the world would be better off with more libertarian babes (or indeed, more libertarian women altogether).

Nah. That's subjective. I always go for the piccy of the gentleman with the gnarled expression and the physical defect. Low comedy, but effective advertising.

Lol that's awesome. It reminds me of those pistachio commercials.

The not-so-beautiful women who protest for causes hardly make it to the covers of magazines or newspaper pieces. This explains the fundamental nonsense this theory is based upon.

I don't know if it's nonsense, what I do know is that if data weren't so difficult to come by there'd be an awesome paper just waiting to be written.

A thought occured to me, tying to together a few threads here.
1. There was a thread about how this site is a bit of a sausage factory.
2. Wolf just started a thread wondering what is the best thing we can do to further our movement.
3. We have here the Babe theory of Revolution.
OK all you trained logicians, put it all together.

We need to get laid and modify our offspring to be hot libertarian women? Query: How does one get laid? My neural net indicates that there is a human ritual called 'dating,' but I have been unable to discover any pattern or logic in in. My net does indicate that alcohol may be involved, but I do not know how.

You know, I'm don't really have the tendency to go after women or date them much, even though many of them have tried to win me. Maybe I can use that to my advantage and spread more libertarianism! :D (among other things)
that's cause my babe is already with me in the revolution being that I'm married.
Having been involved in politics for many years I can tell you a few facts.
Professional cameramen and photographers will always be on the lookout for interesting characters. They may be a couple of attractive young women or a man holding a particularly amusing sign. Believe me, I've been at secessionist rallies with over 100.000 persons in attendance and photographers and cameramen always seemed more interested in the obviously inebriated gentleman dressed up as a Gaul from the Asterix comic books than in a huge crowd of absolutely ordinary persons. Then the aforementioned gentleman was not-so-cunningly used by the sycophantic media to portray us all as drunken idiots.
Interestingly enough the only time I went to a secessionist rally with a really nice woman (long story, don't ask because i won't answer) she was completely ignored by the media swarming over the place looking for "colorful" characters. When I saw that episode of The Simpsons where Homer is subjected to a ridiculous montage after being accused of sexual harassment I laughed for two weeks because it's all so true!
