Imagine a time traveling conference for the Ludwig von Mises Insitute that is set somewhere in the 1950.

The time traveling Austrians invites Austrian economists of that period to speak and as well wow the 1950s economists. However, all of the Austrian economists from the 1950s will have their memory erased.

All the economists, Ludwig von Mises, Rothbard, etc, eventually found out about this. Thus, they decided to try to escape the time travelers' grasp.

A few economists survive their own intellectual successors' attempt to wipe their memory of the time traveling conference, and change the future forever. Most economists, however fall preys to the time travelers' more sophisticated tracking techniques.

The good news? Rothbard survives well into the 21st century and the Austrian school become even more famous.
