In Wisconsin of all places...this guy seems to be ignorant about the very state he is governor of.
"He also was concerned about how a possible outbreak of illnesses from drinking unpasteurized milk could affect Wisconsin's $26 billion dairy industry"...
he was not, however, concerned about taking freedoms away from the people of Wisconsin.
I've been learning about raw milk recently. Appreciate the post.

Most likely, the WI governor is "bought and paid for" by the US dairy industry, which is heavily subsidized by the US government. The idea being that it will drive the small farms producing raw, organic whole milk out of business, thereby decreasing competition for their own "milk".
However, it [the new law] will probably not make raw milk unavailable in WI, there are always many ways around these laws[legal and illegal], both for the producers of it, and the consumers.
And even more on the plus side, it might well create many more "black" [i.e free] market business oppurtunities for some.
All in all, don't get your panties in a twist over this - its just government doing what government always does.

Here in the less free state of Ohio, the state government invades the property of those "Law Breakers" who make and sell unpasturized milk to those who knowingly take the risk but prefer it.
God forbid that any of these Unpasturized Milk Vendors would be undocumented foreigners as well.
