Is Michael Moore trying to confuse the left and right fools and keep the right angry at julian Assange by getting involved and trying to bailout Julian Assange?
Michael Moore has proven himself time and again to not be on the side of liberty. Is he doing this so right wing neocons like Hannity can build up anger against Julian Assange?
Far more likely that Moore is simply grandstanding instead of trying to orchestrate some schism. He's always trying to build himself up as an advocate for the little guy getting crushed by "the man", and this is an obvious way to play into that image.
i agree... i it just for attention... michael moore loves attention

Production is 'anarchistic' - Ludwig von Mises
Yep ..The guys an idiot. Don't ya just love it when an idiot jumps on the bandwagon. Makes it harder to defend your position. Michael Moore the Tea Party...Holy Crap.
I really wish smart people would do over his movies with facts and new titles (i.e. Corporatism: A Love Story)
Has anyone seen Manufacturing Dissent?
"Has anyone seen manufacturing dissent?"
i saw it when it first came out in like 2007 or 2008
Michael's actions are exactly what I'd expect from a demagogue of his sort.
Just because he does something that many of us would agree to for from time to time, means nothing beyond the fact that he's just trying to please the masses.
Publicity stunt. While Michael Moore latest works were much praised by critics, they failed to arise the public's attention. People are finally waking up to the fact he's nothing more than an old fashioned Elegant Leftist with a camera. So they deserted the film theater and they didn't buy the DVD.
By thrusting himself in the whole Wikileaks saga (which is dying out in major media worldwide... but they cater to people with the attention span of a gnat) he desperately hopes, just like a washed up old actress "helping" a younger, more beautiful and much more talented diva, to get back to the center of the stage so he can spout out his usual mumbo jumbo.
I used to thought he was a disgusting person. Now I just find him pathetic.
Seriously, he can't just actually support Wikileaks and what they do?
I've never known Moore to be a supporter of the US imperialist agenda.... don't be blinded by your politics.
In States a fresh law is looked upon as a remedy for evil. Instead of themselves altering what is bad, people begin by demanding a law to alter it. ... In short, a law everywhere and for everything!
~Peter Kropotkin
Epicurus ibn Kalhoun: Seriously, he can't just actually support Wikileaks and what they do? I've never known Moore to be a supporter of the US imperialist agenda.... don't be blinded by your politics.
You're absolutely right, but there is a problem.
In Fahrenheit 9/11, he was pretty critical of the fact that Bush had business contacts with Arabs in the Middle East and otherwise had Muslim friends, and tried to show him as an unreliable man in that respect.
Now, later Michael Moore opposes the opposition to Park51. See, Moore first shows mild Islamophobia, especially since there is nothing wrong with having Muslim friends or doing business with them, but to go on and also criticise Islamophobes in New York? Inconsistent.
Especially since the man building Park51 is one of Bush's friends and fellow businessman, and the exact reason Moore deemed Bush as an unreliable President - because he was pro-Muslim even after 9/11. It's similar to how people in ThinkProgress and Joe Conason oppose corporations who do business with Iran, while otherwise condemning the defense hawks eager for an American-Iranian war.
The problem is not Michael Moore, but the fact that public political commentators, be them progressive, libertarian, or otherwise, are mostly just entertainers of little principle. That said, Michael Moore was one of the few progressives who has criticised Obama for his murder of two thousand Pakistani women and children, thus making Moore more consistent than most public progressives.
That's not exactly true tho. He wasn't just saying "George Bush like muslims, and that means he's bad." He was saying "George Bush has many connections to the same muslims he claims to be fighting against, and that means he's bad." His critique of Bush/Saudi/Bin Laden ties was not out of islamaphobia, it was out of tyrannaphobia.
Especially since the man building Park51 is one of Bush's friends and fellow businessman, and the exact reason Moore deemed Bush as an unreliable President - because he was pro-Muslim even after 9/11
Um.. no. (The part about the building being built by a Saudi royal is true but...) He, once again, wasn't criticising Bush for being pro-muslim. Seriously, you think Moore is a racist/ethnicist? He was criticizing Bush for supporting the same people he claimed to be opposing. The mosque was about free-expression rights. Moore may, personally, not like the man behind it. But as the proverb says "I will fight to the death his right to express himself (peacefully)."
You speak the truth. If only more people were less blinded by their love of their respective political parties.
"If only more people were less blinded by their love of their respective political parties."
Michael Moore is no friend of liberty.
"In Stupid White Men Moore condemns "C-A-P-I-T-A-L-I-S-M" for weeding out businesses that have higher costs and/or lower quality products or services than their competitors. This is a virtue of capitalism, not a vice"
"the film "Roger and Me" puts together a list of the "failures" of capitalism that is remarkable in that in almost every single case, the failure that he refers to is actually caused by interventionism or the failure by government to allow capitalism to work. He blames California's energy problems on "deregulation," or a move in the direction of capitalism, for example."
"In Downsize This! He lambastes businesses for not supplying their employees with a long list of extravagant fringe benefits"
"Michael Moore is essentially a union propagandist and, as such, he condemns certain "stupid" labor unions for agreeing to renegotiate their contracts during recessions. The "smart" ones are the unions who refused to renegotiate and saw their employers go out of business, losing all of their union jobs. Smart."
"Moore also repeats the absurd notion that labor unions in America were thriving until President Ronald Reagan fired the illegally-striking air traffic controllers in 1982."
"Moore even blames the sorry state of Indian reservations on capitalism"
we could go on and on and on....
this man is no friend of liberty. he is a fool, butprobably worse than that, he is a wolf in sheep's clothing. he knows what he is doing with the Julian Assange bail thing. He's simply doing his job and helping to divide the Julian Assange issue. It takes many peons working together to divide and conquer.
