Are there any sort of automatic limitations for posts? For example you can not make a post if it includes too many links, or if it exceeds a word count?

I was trying to post something, but I couldn't. I didn't get an error or a warning. Just upon hitting the Post button the content window emptied, but nothing else happened.

There is indeed an automated moderation function that will require a mod to 'ok' the posting of an entry featuring some number of links (unfortunately I have not gleaned the technical details of how many the auto-mod considers mod-worthy).

Normally, I or another mod would see your post and 'ok' it without much delay, but since you have brought this to my attention I can see something strange has happened. On my moderation-summary I see a notice stipulating that there is one post awaiting moderation, when I click to the details I am informed there are no posts requiring moderation, back to the summary, and I see the notice, there is a contradiction! first time that's ever happened as far as I am aware.

Sorry for your trouble. Hopefully we'll get a new forum sooner rather than later.

Maybe I will repost it tommorow in multiple posts to get around the limit. It is not a big deal, it was just a bit unusual because the system did not inform me why it did not wish to accept my post.

Sadly the forum software has its quirks and bugs.
