I am a huge fan of PeeWee Herman, and Jeffrey Tucker.  PeeWee expressed his distrust in government when the police failed to do anything to protect his private property.  "I knew the police wouldn't help" he sadly confessed (youtube video).   I guess nobody protects property better than private owners.

PeeWee had a certain style and manner of dress that made him attractive despite his social awkwardness, it would seem that same manner of dress just so happens to be the dress of a man: Tucker article.

I am in the market for a new job, perhaps I should get a new suit and bow-tie.

Jeffrey Tucker is my favorite austrian for his sense of style, and his speeches. He's an excellent spokesman, and really grows on ya. He singlehandedly made me respect the bowtie, and got me to stop using shaving cream.

Jeffrey Tucker Appreciation thread?

Jeffrey Tucker Appreciation thread.

I personally fail to find another Austrian, economist or layman, who does prose writing better than Tucker. With the exception of maybe Hazlitt.

I just want to know how putting a straight edge razor to his face, without so much as using any shaving soap or cream, went. cheeky

That's the only way I shave. You'd be surprised how effective it is, espeically after a nice, hot shower.

How long did it take your skin to get used to?

I still wouldn't give up my soaps and aftershave, even if my face were to get used to the bare blade with hot water. They smell too good!

There was no "getting used to" phase if I remember right. From what I hear, it generally takes people a few shaves.

Wow... just could never put my finger on it before now.

All good, Jeffrey Tucker is a fav as well. Bourbon for Breakfast was great.

And I second the straight razor claim.

Keep up the good work Jeff...

Definitely did enjoy Tucker's article on dress/style during the Great Depression. I also stopped using shaving cream, but instead of doing it after a hot shower, I'll put ice-cold water on my face before shaving. Supposedly it helps the whiskers stand up better, for a closer shave. Sometimes I shave after a hot shower, but I always rub the cold water into the areas of my face that are to be shaved before I actually shave. Shaving is much quicker, cleaner, and closer now. I never nick myself anymore.

I have to be honest. In the kindest possible way, bowties look ridiculous. And Jeffrey Tucker looks extremely similar to PeeWee Herman. I don't know why I never saw the similarity before.

I disagree. I think it's poor taste to compare PeeWee to Jeff. The two are very different, as far as their characteristics of men are concerned. Ofcoarse my only understanding of Peewee is from the movies. Still I wouldn't compare the two at all, and Jeffrey makes the bowtie look fantastic, just as Rothbard did, and as many in the Austrian school do.

If you think the bowtie is rediculous, do you think James Bond looks rediculous?

Tucker is awesome, an inspiration.  I mean the comparison in no derogatory way.

Now the following image is pretty good:
