Hate group: an organized group or movement that advocates and practices hate, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or other designated sector of society.

The U.S. government is a hate group. It hates private property, individual choice, liberty itself. It does more than hate. It acts. Its decisions are enforced by thousands of tax collectors. It enforces its decrees with police locally and its military internationally.

Which is more rhetorically effective: calling government a mafia/organized crime syndicate or calling it a hate group?

Most of the guys in the state love owning property, making choices, and being free.  Not so much for everyone else.

Like Walter (John Goodman) said in the big lebowski:

"Nihilists! I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos."
