Obviously this is not an add. It is something home made for the purpose of gloating. This sort of creativity happens in conflict all the time, compare: Would you like a cheeseburger Bobby Sands?

It would be a bit silly for Subaru to sully their reputation by being involved in something like this. Its like the the recent McDonalds photoshop hoax where it looked as if a sign was posted outside of McDonalds window that blacks have to pay an extra $1.50 for insurance against theft. It was tweeted all over the place and McDonalds had to tweet back to defend their reputation.
