It's like watching MadTV.

To paraphrase Marc Faber: We're all doomed, but that doesn't mean that we can't make money in the process.
Rabbi Lapin: "Let's make bricks!"
Stephan Kinsella: "Say you and I both want to make a German chocolate cake."

Nvm, found it. Eh, I found it amusing. Of course the RP position was clearly misrepresented, but the other candidates were funny :P

Yea i saw it. That's what prompted this lol. I think the analogy was supposed to be that the burning house is the U.S. economy and the puppies are the middle class.

I think it may have been an allusion to FEMA and natural disasters or foreign intervention abroad.  Either way, they think Ron Paul doesn't support helping people who need it.  He only doesn't want to force people to help others.

Yea it could've been all of those things wrapped up. I mean I was listening to Alex Jones and he was saying the beltway liberals are going to push for Chris Christie on the Repiblican ticket. Lo and behold,
Chris Christie it's wide open," at the end of that sketch.

No, I thought the burning house thing was definitely about the healthcare question "should society let the uninsured man die?"

I guess it just goes to show the ambiguity of symbolism.
