Did the DHS just turn intot he secret police?  They gave themselves the power to arrest people at the OWS Portland Protest.

Bizarre and creepy.

What is so secret about it? It's a federal police force that has jurisdiction over federal property, which is where the arrest happened.

The Federal Protective Service doesn't look too secret to me, but I'm sure they're around.

A surprisingly large number of civic/municipal buildings in America serve jointly as federal buildings, hence the presence of the FPS.  But I'm sure a dedicated federal police force to protect such designated government buildings all over the country was to protect you all from excessively religious imams, or something, and not the government from you now that the shit is going down. :p

Border patrol and TSA are more frightening aspects of the growing American police state, imo, but they're all part of the legion.

That they can arrest people.  Most people don't know that, do they?

It's the federal police (which existed before DHS). I imagine most people can figure out that police of any variety can arrest you.
