Didn't knew he was ill, which makes this news all the better. I would compare it to finding a twenty in your backpocket you didn't know you had.
And what was your problem with Hitchens exactly?
Maybe this.

oh wow. America.... you funny. The most hilarious thing was "Call Congress". Can’t call? Send an email."
whahaha.

Maybe the fact that he never saw an American war he didn't like. If it were not for people (public intelectuals) like him it would be harder for Western governments to launch imperial wars. He was for the Iraq war what Bernard-Henri Levy was for Bosnia, Yugoslavia and Libya. I'm happy that as of today he is burning in the fiery lakes of hell. And before you ask, yes I would gladly give up a twenty to see Levy follow in his footsteps and croak (preferably in pain) before his time.
Thought this was pretty funny...

Krugman’s criticism of Ron Paul and Austrian economics has been responded to by William Anderson, Robert Wenzel and likely others. What upsets me is his continued refusal to debate Robert Murphy. The Murphy-Smith debate was informative. I am confident a Murphy-Krugman debate would be similar.
He probably doesn't want more people to know who Bob Murphy is.
That, and he's a little girl.
If you have netflix, there is a 62 minute video of a fire burning called "fireplace for your home" that is actually pretty awesome. I've "watched" twice. Keeping it on the background while reading or dicking off on the internet.
It actually makes the apartment feel warmer. Emotionally, I mean.

Pretty good interview with RP on many of the major issues which might have great success winning the support of crossovers:
Leno: "Ron Paul is anti fed, Mitt Romney is, of course, pro fed, and Newt Gingrich is, well, over fed." ... lol
We are the soldiers for righteousnessAnd we are not sent here by the politicians you drink with - L. Dube, rip
RP gets most donations out of Republican candidates from defense contractor employees?
And after all the economics, politics, and history that goes into the discussion, one is reminded of what is actually happening in the world by a small child:

Look at the NSA's "kids'" page. Sick fucks.
The redirect doesn't bother me but I wonder why google shows nsa,gov as first search result?
Regardless of motive, it does make a fine item to freak out some hyper-conspiricy minded folks ..lol
Did a little further research and there are folks who have been discussing this for a while. Here's a vid from 2010:
To paraphrase Marc Faber: We're all doomed, but that doesn't mean that we can't make money in the process. Rabbi Lapin: "Let's make bricks!" Stephan Kinsella: "Say you and I both want to make a German chocolate cake."

He makes some attacks on libertarianism.
Seven minutes of waffle. He frames the debate, invokes strawman arguments, uses false dichotomies and attempts to gain validity by establishing a supposed authority. Nothing too interesting. Actually he did create something amusing, a testosterone theory of the business cycle.
Okay, so everyone knows Ron Paul is the "Internet" candidate. He's got the youngest supporters, the most technologically savvy supporters, the most up-to-date, hip-to-the-online-scene supporters out there. His campaign makes the most of social media, much like what got Obama elected.
So...can someone explain this to me?...
Hip, up-to-date, hip-to-the-online-scene people are too cool for Facebook.
Heh:

Oh they've already moved on to Flutter?
Just got my T-shirt, so I created this :D
RE: the Facebook "liked" stuff and Ron Paul, it's probably because Facebook is extremely "mainstream" compared to much of the internet. It has something like 800 million active users, which is like half of the number of people on the planet with regular internet access. To get a better idea of who's who "on the internet", look at Youtube numbers and stuff. Much more favorable to Paul.
What are the theories on why Ron Paul is getting so much money from federal employees? *CONFUSED*
My personal theory is that it boils down to the fact that not every Federal employee is completely self-serving. A lot of people go into government work because they think they're actually doing real good, and Paul's message can resonate with them as well as non-state employees. They may also see the wast and graft first hand. It's always important to remember that it's not always the individuals in the state system that cause problems, but the bureaucratic arrangement of the system itself. Take myself, I work in an industry that deals with environmental and building code compliance. Without the EPA and state DEPs, my (current) job wouldn't exist. But I don't quit because I 1.) Need to pay the bills, and 2.) believe that at least part of the end is good, but the means are flawed. Unfortunately no pure alternative exists, so we do the best to operate within the architecture that the State gives us.
Finally some reddit love (almost 2000 points!).

Central planning at its finest:
I understand it's not in as bad repair today as it once was. But what a monument to hubris and the capacity of a few egotistical maniacs to impose their supposedly elite and grandiose myopic vision onto the masses.
I love documentaries from the 60's, 70's and 80's. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the script, the narrator, the editing. Everything nowadays is narrated by Matt Damon or Charlie Sheen's dad.
