Your Thoughts?
Maybe I'll get to it at some point, but I'm not sure I'm interested in watching an hour's worth of a David Crosby look-alike talking to a microphone, (uploaded by a channel called "chomskyan") just to give you my thoughts on it.
I realize this is ad hominem, but I've seen this guy's videos before, so I'm inclined to believe nothing has changed and he's still full of complete crap. But I went ahead and started the video anyway. Also, as a self-proclaimed Maoist, he doesn't have any ground to stand on calling others "deadbeats." As for the content:
1) I've never seen one person with that symbol tattooed on their body.
2) I wouldn't be surprised if only a severe minority of self-proclaimed libertarians even recognize that symbol.
And yet this guy finds a way to spend nearly 4 whole minutes droning on about the history of the symbol and how it doesn't really symbolize freedom, blah blah blah.
I'm sure he found some way to translate this into "libertarians are deadbeats" but I couldn't be bothered to stomach any more of his snoozefest of idiocy. (At least when other morons espouse their nonsense they tend to be a bit more entertaining.)
Video 1 is an anarcho-socialist.
Video 2 is a maoist who doesnt understand history. He references a book known to be a fraud.
But he has, so that means, like, all libertarians are doing it!
The guy's a charlatan. He unabashedly attacked a straw man; one finds no conflict between the Liberty Fund definition and Graeber's explanation.
