At the risk of sounding like somebody else who was once on the Mises forums, I would like to give you all a challenge.

Being that I can't debate worth squat yet, I would like some of my fellow Miseans to go on RevLeft and start a debate, and then link us all to the debate. Browsing through those forums, I know I couldn't debate worth a hoot with those people at my level.

I personally think it would be interesting to see a debate between somebody like, say, Clayton, and a Trotskyist. Tell me your thoughts on this.

Oh, lol, just saw your post in the "Libertarian Socialism" thread, Malachi. I still think it would be interesting.

I didn't mean a massive Mises vs RevLeft interference. Just one of our best in a debate on there. I personally think it would be interesting to observe.

A party, like a group of people. They raid another forums, posting threads and trolling the shit out of people, its havoc for the netizens of the boards, I guess it doesnt happen anymore? I feel so old right now.

I don't mean bursting on to the forum screaming about how wrong they are. Just something that would...lead in to a debate.

We ought to raid.
Its about time.

We gather all people on this forum, and everyone starts 1 new thread on revleft.

Posting all kinds of questions and criticisms about socialism.

and then everyone in the mises.org forums goes on each thread made and tells the Original poster (mises.org members) how they agree, and that socialism sucks.

This all must be done in under an hour or so to give the maximum shock and breakthrough effect.

We can debate together.

But it must be first organized.

The best way to attack marx is to say that labor theory of value is outdated and been refuted. And that ricardo was wrong.

And then give them a bunch of links, etc, and links to articles

It wasn't. It's all well and good to talk about debates, and then you meet the people who you're debating, and the picture that you get from their content was not a pleasant one. I remember back on the Hannity raid they were arguing that the minimum wage jobs of highschool kids are more important than the livelihoods of Mexican families.

At last those coming came and they never looked back With blinding stars in their eyes but all they saw was black...

Or if you want, you can make a parody.
How eliminating money and going back to USSR levels will do everyone better.

And how massive state socialism freed the workers even though they were starving.

And how free trade kills freedom.

Cool story bro.

Anyway, what I got out of the message from the Highlands was that you don't want to piss off Maoists, or they'll go all "mobile warfare" on you. I guess William Wallace does have a point there.

Your intentions may be good, but in spite of them these things never tend to end up well.

Stop trying to view forums as 'teams' that are supposed to band together. That mindset just leads to trollbait as has been said.

Yeah, I realize that now, and I apologize for what now seems like the child-like mindset this thread generates of "wanting to go over there and kick some ass." At the time of writing this I thought it would be something interesting to observe though, but I guess I didn't think things through enough from a more rational perspective.

Mostly because its hard enough to convert people by trying, and if we go over there and argue, it will come across as an attack no matter what our intentions. Like invadng to depose a murderous dictator or an evil form of government.

No talk about trolling other forums, please.

I, personally, would find it pretty cool if we had a thread to contribute to each other's discussions on other forums.
