What would you do if you were the state, basically a dictator that has total control over the people ?

I don't know what I would do in that situation, but I would try to destroy my own power.

I would probably abuse the power to my own advantage.

If this hypothetical were forced upon me, the only thing I would see worth doing is:

1.) Make an op-out law for those who wish to withdraw from use of state services, & declare their that their self-soverignty is of no threat to the state.

Everything else would seem like a waste of time.  Regardless, if I was "elected", I would refuse the position & probably use such an outrage (it would certainly be a huge event to refuse office of the world government) as a window to speak out about Statism & anarchism, most likley without using those explicit labels, throughout the media & internet circuit.

I dictator with total control over people would probably die within a year. Of treachery, illness, or sheer unhappiness.

- Via global broadcast, with translations in all languages, give a concise speech affirming the sovereignty of the individual and property rights

- Repeal all laws but the NAP

- Declare that The Liberty Code will furthermore be the instrument upon which all future jurisprudence will be based

- Give government court and law-enforcement officials the chance to sign a non-aggression pledge

- Declare all who refuse to sign to be criminals

- Suggest a program for the marketization of all government services

- Dissolve all state-sanctioned monopolies and fiat banks

- Encourage the use of precious metals for future trade

- Declare holiday whereupon great, big bonfires will be made of fiat paper money

- Abdicate

Now this is where we differ.  I would have to make Tim Hortons official donut of the realm.

I would allow people to "opt out" of my global government. Not much else would do. Economy? Leave it alone. Personal freedoms? Yes. Military? Voluntary, but since we wouldn't have any external threats, it would be more of a security force. I most likely wouldn't build any infrastructure, depends on if: a. we have the money to, b. it's sound, and c. no land disputes with any landowner. Then I might. It would be the first global anarchic society!
