Is anybody watching this? Thoughts? It's pretty funny so far.
Missed it. What did he say?
To paraphrase Marc Faber: We're all doomed, but that doesn't mean that we can't make money in the process. Rabbi Lapin: "Let's make bricks!" Stephan Kinsella: "Say you and I both want to make a German chocolate cake."
I don't remember all of it, but he does think that there will be no future crisis. In a few years, we will look to our own Treasury Secretary's words. He also thought that "fixing"(don't you love that Orwellian term?) our healthcare system won't add a a penny to the already behemoth federal budget deficit. Everyone was also clapping for him when he explained that he saved the financial system from udder "collapse." He was also lauding himself over the fact that the Fed injected capital in to a "capital needed" financial system. Steve Liesman also questioned why the unemployment rate still went up despite the intervention and of course Geithner said that the federal government did not act "quick enough." I sware, why don't the media, the government, and all of their talking heads just record these points on to a tape recorder and keep it on replay? I missed Bob Murphy after the show, though....
