What is this "one tax" proposal I've been hearing about?  Can anyone elaborate?

By the way, if you haven't heard this yet, watch this video - http://youtube.com/watch?v=mRv0bP3VQ-g.  Romney insults Ron Paul on Mark Larsen's radio program and Larsen goes off on him!

These one tax, fair tax, fairer tax, vat tax, sales tax, flat tax schemes are all exactly that, schemes.  They are attempts to create a situation where the government goes on growing faster and faster based on one of these more economically superior schemes.  The problem with any of these plans is that they do not address the core issue.  The core issue is of course that the federal government has grown grossly beyond any constitutional boundaries into every facet of the private, moral and legal activities of the citizenry.  The federal government has a yearly budget of 3 trillion dollars.  That is the theft of 10000 per person per year in the US.  So it doesn't matter how the govenrment steals it, what matters is the volume.

Now Ron Paul has a one tax plan of having a small general tariff that is well within constitutional limits.  Of course the work to get there is well beyond the 2 party oligarchy of spending others peoples money into positions of power.
