Does anyone know about State Citizenship? Wouldn't it be a better idea to start Libertarian Political Action at the State level then at the federal level? Trying to change the government into a libertarian organization all at once Like how Ron Paul was campaigning, instead of in increment steps is near to impossible although it would be nice! The federal government has allot more special interests then the States do.
If A libertarian was to run for Governor of a state and he/she repealed unlibertarian state laws, after a few years the effect could eventually snow ball into the rest of the States and thus, make the federal Government Obsolete. Once the federal government is made totally obsolete Then the States could Combine all their armed forces into one national armed forces. This could be the start of a private defense Service
I have included a link for an article Free man or slave...Which Citizen are you? for those interested in State-Citizenship here I also recommend that you checkout http://www.state-citizen.org/ (it has some extremely interesting reading!)
Michael S:Trying to change the government into a libertarian organization
LOL, oxymoron.

Why must political action take place in order to change your social predicament?

See here.

And how is it private if it's controlled by states?

It's not an Oxymoron at all. I should have phrased the above as trying to transfer or transform the government into a Libertarian society.

How else are you going to promote change? By education alone? We need both action and education

I assumed the reader of this thread would read between the lines. Big mistake.
Like I implied before, everything eventually would be transfered to the private sector.

Hasn't reformism been more or less attempting to bring about a Libertarian Society? I think you under-estimate the lengths those that benefit from Statism will fight for their "earned" power. Even if Alternative / 3rd Parties (LP included) managed to acheive political power, what is stopping the more Statist parties from re-marketing themselves, appealing to emotional logic, & rigging ballots to re-gain power? Would not trying to out-compete the State's services (more or less Agorism) be something similar?I also fail to see how the State's combining their armed forces into one national armed force is the start of anything resembling a private defense service. I will take a look at the site though, thanks.

Well, your wrong, because naturally i do

Nothing Except for exposing the truth
Nitroadict:Would not trying to out-compete the State's services (more or less Agorism) be something similar?
Yes, there's nothing wrong with Agorism if done honestly and correctly
Nitroadict:I also fail to see how the State's combining their armed forces into one national armed force is the start of anything resembling a private defense service.
Not if the "states" armed forces where a private defense service at the start

I chose action at the state level because Because a State Citizen is Not bound by any federal/state laws except for the first 10 Amendments of the US Constitution and his/her state Constitution. You have to read more about State Citizenship to now what I'm talking about. I'll post more about State citizenship once I get the time.
