I was reading the "What forms of taxation is promoted by the Austrian School?" thread.
I too have noticed the seemingly willful ignorance of Austrians concerning Ricardo's Law of Rent and the "Margin of Production" theory. I am currently working on a strategy to implement distribution of the unearned increment within a land-backed currency system, similar to that proposed by Benjamin Franklin prior to the revolution.
Rothbard has an ironclad theory layed out in ethics of liberty. I have yet to hear a convincing argument against it, and I have yet to hear a convincing argument against Henry George's theory, though his way of implementing is flawed in the details though not in the substance. Mainly a difference in what "government" is.
But you are right in your thread when you mention that Austrian's are so anti-government they won't even consider the "single-tax" concept within a voluntary contractual framework.
Anyway, thought I'd give a shout-out. I don't see many people trying to bridge Austrian and Georgist thought.
